Crisis Group Put Sudan on its conflict tracker warning list of October

Following the failed coup attempt and the heated public statements between the military and civilians partners on the transitional government in Sudan, Crisis Group listed Sudan as one of the potential points of conflicts to be watched this month.

The group said in its monthly Crisis Watch publication that : Sudan, an attempted coup heightened tensions between the civilian and military components of the transitional authorities, putting at stake the government's unity.
